Rev. Joseph Ajor (Ph.D), Senior Minister

Thanksgiving is the act of giving thanks; grateful acknowledgment of benefits or favours, especially from God. It is in this light that the Assemblies of God Church Calabar also known as the Covenant Centre appreciated God Almighty for his goodness in a harvest thanksgiving service tagged “The Harvest of Gratitude” on Sunday 6th December, 2020.

The Harvest thanksgiving was anchored by the Harvest Committee Chairman Deac. Engr. Godwin Akeke. In his remarks, Engr. Godwin Akeke mentioned that there are numerous reasons to show gratitude to God. For the Miracle of life and other things we cannot count.

The Chairman of harvest ceremony, Deacon David Arigo stated that this year has been terrible, but yet worth appreciating God for. He also said that the idea of gratitude is that which should never be overlooked and that everyone at the end of every year must always come back to say thank you to God. Joseph Ajor (Ph.D), in a sermon from the book of Psalms 93 verse 1, mentioned that God has blessed the church this year and deserves the harvest of gratitude from everyone’s heart. According to Rev.
