Easter Sunday: Street Boys Nap And Beat Up a Criminal In Calabar, while one escapes.

Street boys have napped and beaten up a criminal in the early hours of Sunday 4th April, 2021 being Easter Sunday.

The two criminals were double crossed by some vigilant youths at Old Ikang Road close to Marian hotel Calabar at about 6:45am with a big generator which is believed to have been stolen from the neighbourhood.

The one who carried the generator was caught while the other escaped.

While pleading with the angry youths, the suspected criminal appealed that he wasn't a thief but only wanted to buy the generator from the thief who had escaped.

"Please forgive me, I am not a thief. I use to sell around Atekon junction, I only intended to buy the generator from him. I did not know that it was a stolen generator" He said.

He also revealed that the thief had intended to sell the stolen generator to him at twenty thousand naira.

Although, the young men in the street had thought of jungle Justice, but they were convinced by compassionate people who confirmed that the alleged criminal usually buy "exhibits" (stolen properties) and pleaded that he should only be beaten up and allowed to go.

The criminal was brutally beaten up after which he was allowed to go his way.
