The senator who represented southern Senatorial district of Cross River State in the 7th senate, senator Prince Bassey Otu has joined other APC chieftains to congratulate Gov. Ben Ayade over his defection from the People's Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress, describing the move as an "excellent decision".
In a statement he personally signed and made available to the press, the senator said the governor's decision was "a good move where your gifting, postures and style fits in perfectly"
Senator Otu said " I have been a close ally with the contours of your liberal leadership dynamics bonded in ethics and I knew God will intervene and give you a sweet landing. Our state has no business playing politics of opposition"
He assured the governor that the APC in the state and the center will galvanize the needed support and ideas that will quickly accentuate the developmental foundation he has put down for the state.
Senator Otu who is widely loved across the state was one of the bigwigs whose movement from the PDP dealt a big blow to the party. It is believed that the recent movement of the governor to the APC will further dwindle the fortunes of the PDP in the state.
