He said he regretted his actions and was therefore deeply saddened with the unnecessary embarrassment the local government chairman may have faced as a result of that.

"Today, the 14th day of July 2021, I want to openly and very humbly apologize to my respected local government chairman, Hon Justina Edem, over the unguided and unwarranted insults I dished out to her on the social media.

"It was in some social media platforms where I openly insulted the executive chairman, including leveling serious accusations on her personality. Thereby bringing her person and that of her family to public redicule.

"I want to say here that, all I said were political propaganda and rumors. It is also important that I say that the insults meted out to the respected chairman was done in an attempt to defend some of my political helpers and therefore was misled by those people, including those I erroneously called my political parents, in particular the Managing Director of Cross River State Water Board, Chief Victor Effiom.

But after my interactions with friends and associates of the chairman, including going to establishments like the university of Calabar Micro finance where the executive chairman previously served. It became very clear that I was misled to write against the chairman and that all what I was pushed to write were empty allegations and lies from the pit of hell.

My interactions with serving and former staffs of Unical Micro finance bank has proven that, the chairman, Hon Justina Edem, while serving with the bank had a clean record of service and never had any record of misconduct whatsoever.

Let me say clearly that this was a mere political propaganda and rumour without any fact to to backup my unreasonable allegation against the honourable chairman. The entire attempt was to smeare her good image in other to frustrate his political ambition.

This is the reason why I have come out to openly apologize to the executive chairman, Hon Justina Edem, having realised the truth  and to plead that as a good  mother and leader,  she forgives me and let go.
