N.HG.S.F:Cross River State to commence Enrollment and Enumeration exercise soon




Cross River State is set  to Commence the  Enrollment and Enumeration exercise for the National Home grown school feeding Program, the Ministry Of Humanity And Social Welfare  has disclosed.


The state government is to Flags Off  the Exercise soon. 


The state government under Governor Ben Ayade is renown for her humanitarian gesture to the poor and needy in the society.


Governor  Benedict Ayade has at several occasions  brought smiles to the faces of Cross Riverians through his commitment to uplifting the poor in state.


To this end, through the governor's commitment for a better life for the people, more Cross Riverians are set to benefit yet again from federal Humanitarian Programs.


The NHGSF program is aimed at feeding over 14 million School children in a bid to make learning easy and exciting. 


It would be recalled that  President Mohammed Buhari had approved 9 Million beneficiaries back in 2016 and has gone on to add an extra 5 million beneficiaries to the existing 9 million Which Cross River state will hugely Benefit from.


Commissioner for Humanity and Social Welfare services Honorable Blessing Egbara, who spoke during the meeting, commended Governor Ben Ayade for His efforts in bringing Federal Programs to the state.


She added   that the National Home Grown school feeding Program is an exercise that will not just benefit the school Children, but also Provide job opportunities for rural farmers.


Also speaking during the meeting of the Project Task Team with the Honorable Commissioner for Humanity and Social Welfare services, who also doubles as the focal person in the state, the Deputy Director federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Barrister Sunday Uko posited that the  Enumeration and enrollment exercise is very much welcome development .


According to him it's a way to boost the moral of the school Children as well as make more kids desire to go to school.
