Police operatives have
rescued two students of Bethel Baptist Secondary school in Chikun Local
Government Area of Kaduna State who were abducted.
They were rescued by
police operatives in Rijanna area along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Wednesday
evening.
Speaking on the incident, the
spokesman of the Kaduna state police command, Mohammed Jalige, revealed to our
sources that the two abducted students have been taken to a police medical
facility where they are currently undergoing medical check up.
Recall that on July 8,
121 students of Bethel Baptist Secondary School in Chikun local government area
of Kaduna state were captured from their hotels by armed bandits.
One of the abducted
students was rescued last week inside a forest, while two others were rescued on
Wednesday, thereby bringing the number of those rescued to three while 118 are
yet to be rescued from the bandits.
On the other hand, the
bandits have demanded the sum of N60m as a ransom for the release of the abducted
students.
