CP Alhassan Aminu To Resume Set To Resume As New Police Commissioner In Cross River

As the quest for security of lives and properties in Cross River State and in Nigeria at large increases, and being the ethics of the Nigerian Police Force to deploy and redeploy officers as the case may be, CP Alhassan Aminu is set to resume office in the Cross River State Police Command as the new Commissioner.

He will be taking over from CP Sikiru Akande. Recall that Akande resumed as the state police commissioner in January 2021. But, has been redeployed as CP ICT at the force headquarters in Abuja.

Until his redeployment to Cross River State, CP Alhassan Aminu was the deputy commissioner of police in Delta state and also was the DCP operations at the Bayelsa state police command where he directed command operations.

The new Cross River State Police commissioner was among the 35 deputy commissioners of police, recently promoted to the rank of commissioner of police by the police service commission.

He will be resuming as the 42nd commissioner of police in the state.
