It was indeed a frenzy of excitement that pervaded the atmosphere in Boki LGA when Sen. Gershom Bassey empowered all the ward Chairmen with brand new motorcycles to ease their mobilisation for the ongoing party registration process.
Presenting the motorcycles on behalf of Sen. Gershom Bassey, Rt. Hon. Ntol Chris Agibe informed the beneficiaries that the motorcycles were to enable them to mobilize massively for the party registration and PDP's victory in the 2023 general elections. He advised the Ward Chairmen to judiciously use the motorcycles to carry out party activities, disseminate information across the board and strengthen the party in Boki LGA.
Rt. Hon Agibe praised the benevolent streak of Distinguished Senator Gershom Bassey for which every well-meaning Cross Riverian should desire in the Governor of our state. He, therefore, informed the party faithful that the only way to actualise the beauty of Gershom Bassey's benevolence in governance is to support the "Back to South". He finally prayed that God will make sure the beneficiaries do not suffer accidents while riding the motorcycles to do the work of the party.
Responding on behalf of all the beneficiaries, the Chairman of Ward Chairmen forum, Boki LGA, Mr Bisong Barry Binang said he was overwhelmed with joy by this kind gesture of Sen. Gershom Bassey. According to him, a Distinguished Senator is a man of the people and father of all who does not discriminate. His empowerment is for all parties faithful and not only for those who support his aspiration. He specifically thanked Sen. Bassey for not acting like other aspirants, who selected only a few perceived supporters to empower and drove other party members out of their meetings. He applauded Sen. Gershom Bassey for carrying all party faithful along in his empowerment across the state. He described Sen. Gershom Bassey as "... An exceptional leader who is all-embracing and sees everybody as his own whether you work for him or not."
The ovation was very loud as party leaders, elders, youths, women and indeed all party faithful agreed to support the back to South campaign and specifically support Distinguished Senator Gershom Bassey for Governor of Cross River State in 2023.
