The only female governorship aspirant in Cross River State, Amb. Nkoyo Toyo has revealed what it takes for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has to do to recover the governorship seat of Cross River State from the All Progressives Congress.

Speaking to the Members of PDP, Biase local government chapter on Tuesday, Amb. Toyo said that For PDP to win the 2023 gubernatorial elections, PDP must choose a credible and competent candidate. A candidate people are interested in and likely to vote for.

The aspirant also added that she has better qualifications and is capable of transforming Cross River State for good.

"For PDP to win this election, we must choose a candidate who will govern well and a candidate people are interested in and likely to come out for voting"

She also said, "My qualification is as good as every other person but, also better. qualification is good but doesn't make you a good leader. it is what you know, how you know it and how you use it that matters"

"I am a woman and that will make election easier for PDP" she added.

Amb. Toyo promised to prioritise the Local government areas and build a value chain that will in turn create jobs.

The chapter chairman appreciated Toyo for visiting the Biase chapter, saying it's a sign that she has them at heart as a mother.

Reacting, the Deputy Chapter Chairman of The Peoples Democratic Party, Biase Chapter, Mr. Oyube Fidelis, appreciated the aspirant for speaking to them as a mother and promised to push her vision to realisation.

"You have talked to us as a mother. we have heard you so much and so many of us will champion and push your aspiration because we want Cross River State to be better.

Speaking also, the chapter woman leader, Mrs. Umang Ogbang Nkanu said men are not good managers compared to women. she also said women are good advisers and should be allowed to help the men amend Cross River State.

"In your house, when things are tough you turn to the women, women can do it. Let's give mma a chance because she can manage the state. Women are good advisers and should be given a chance to help the men amend the state. If we are given a chance, we will do better. We appreciate your courage, you are a symbol for other women." She said.

Pledging support for the aspirant, the organising secretary of the chapter, Rev. Ipia Ipia prayed for good success upon Amb. Toyo. He also urged her never to forget her promises when she succeeds.

"We are humble as a chapter, we are happy you visited us. All our aspirants are orators. We pray to God to lift you. we as a chapter will support you" He added.
