2023: Sir Arthur Jarvis Relinquishes Governorship Ambition, Settles For Deputy Position

Sir Arthur Jarvis

The countdown to the Cross River State people's democratic party Governorship Primaries is coming with more thrills and trappings liken to the Game of Thrones series.

With no definite pronouncement on zoning, inspite of the prodding from some stakeholders and advocates of power shift to the South, the Governorship top contenders in terms of their reach, acceptance, name recognition, exhaustive campaign and their influence among delegates has clearly shown those that will possibly be the party flag bearer.

Surprisingly one of the contenders from the Southern Senatorial district, Sir Arthur Jarvis ditched his ambition, and rather accepted to be Sen. Sandy Onor running mate.

It was revealed in a meeting that held yesterday, that Sir Arthur Jarvis the assumed consensus from the non partisan meeting organized by H.E Donald Duke has shunned the Southern quest for power shift from North to South and has accepted to deputize his fellow aspirant from Central Senatorial district, Sen. Sandy Onor.

With few days to the Governorship primaries, chances are high that aspirants might step down because there are ongoing talks. But It was rather shocking that a southern aspirant will abandon the Back to South campaign and accept the back seat.

The last days is full with intrugues as delegates have few days left to make up their mind on where to swing their vote.
