EFCC Interrogates Former Kwara Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed

Abdulfatah Ahmed, the former governor of Kwara State, is currently undergoing questioning at the Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in GRA, Ilorin.

According to a reliable source within the commission, Ahmed arrived at the EFCC office around 9 a.m. on Monday and has remained there for several hours.

"Yes, the immediate past governor is here; he arrived in the morning, and he's still with us," the source, who requested anonymity, told a Vanguard correspondent.

Despite attempts to reach the former governor for comments, calls to his phone number went unanswered.

While the specific reasons for his interrogation are yet to be disclosed, Ahmed had previously been invited by the commission regarding financial irregularities linked to certain projects carried out during his tenure as governor from 2011 to 2019.
