Cross River Police Commissioner Decorates Newly Promoted Officers

Calabar, 26 July 2025 – The Commissioner of Police for Cross River State, CP Rashid B. Afegbua, PSC, mnips, has formally decorated junior officers promoted in the latest round of promotions. The ceremony took place at the State Police Headquarters in Calabar.

Officers advancing from corporal to sergeant and from sergeant to inspector were honoured in an event that reflects the vision of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, Ph.D., to reward diligence and raise morale across the Force.

Supported by the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Administration, DCP Uche Obiozor, CP Afegbua congratulated each officer and urged them to remain professional, dedicated and law-abiding. He reminded them that their new ranks carry greater responsibility and demand a firm commitment to the Nigeria Police Force’s ethics and values.

Family members and friends attended to share in the celebrations. The promoted officers voiced their gratitude to both the Inspector General of Police and CP Afegbua for the recognition and pledged to renew their dedication to policing duties throughout the state.
