Nigeria’s leading online marketplace, Jiji, has kicked off its 2025 Black Friday campaign tagged “Deals Na Water”, promising shoppers massive discounts of up to 85% across popular categories including phones, electronics, fashion, and home essentials.

The month-long campaign, which runs from November 1 to 31, 2025, aims to give Nigerians access to genuine and affordable deals from verified sellers nationwide. Described as a season of “unbeatable affordability,” Jiji’s latest offering highlights its commitment to creating value for both buyers and sellers as the shopping season peaks.

Online Shopping on the Rise

Recent data indicates that over 70% of Nigerians now turn to online platforms first when hunting for the best prices on essentials. With more than 43 million active smartphone users, the country’s digital shopping culture continues to grow rapidly — a trend that has made platforms like Jiji central to trusted and secure online retail experiences.

As consumers become more conscious of cost and value, Jiji has positioned itself as a go-to destination for verified deals, prioritising transparency and safety through its Verified ID seller system.

Curated Deals, Trusted Sellers

Through a dedicated Black Friday landing page, shoppers can explore refreshed daily offers across key categories such as smartphones, air conditioners, TVs, sound systems, fashion accessories, home appliances, and furniture.

Every offer, according to the platform, comes from verified sellers, ensuring buyers can shop with confidence while enjoying the thrill of authentic bargains.

‘Real Value That Flows Like Water’

Speaking on the campaign, Maxim Makarchuk, Chief Operating Officer of Jiji Africa, said the goal this year is to make affordability feel natural and accessible to everyone.

“This year’s Black Friday is designed to give Nigerians real value through massive savings that feel like deals flowing as freely as water. We’re thrilled to connect millions of buyers to genuine discounts from trusted sellers across the country,” said Makarchuk.

He added that the campaign equally empowers businesses to grow during the peak shopping period.

“For sellers, this is the biggest opportunity to gain visibility and sell faster by offering at least 15% off to be featured on our official Black Friday page. We believe that when buyers win, sellers also win — that’s the marketplace advantage,” he noted.

Safe and Convenient Shopping

Jiji continues to strengthen user trust with features that allow buyers to chat directly with sellers, inspect items before payment, and follow in-app Safety Tips to ensure secure transactions.

With “Deals Na Water,” Jiji invites Nigerians to dive into the country’s biggest shopping event of the year — a celebration of affordability, authenticity, and opportunity for both buyers and sellers.
