Arsenal F.C. were officially crowned 2025/26 Premier League champions after ending their 22-year wait for the title, and they capped the season with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace F.C. before lifting the trophy at Selhurst Park.
Under manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal finally broke the dominance of Manchester City F.C. after several near misses in recent seasons. The title was mathematically secured earlier in the week when City drew against Bournemouth, confirming Arsenal as champions with a game to spare.
Captain Martin Ødegaard lifted the Premier League trophy in emotional scenes as Arsenal supporters celebrated the club’s first league triumph since the legendary “Invincibles” season of 2003/04.
The final-day victory over Palace featured goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke, while teenage sensation Max Dowman made headlines by becoming the youngest starter in Premier League history.
Arteta was visibly emotional during the celebrations, with players and fans hailing him for rebuilding Arsenal into champions after years of frustration and second-place finishes.
The Gunners could still make history this season, as they are also preparing to face Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in the 2026 UEFA Champions League final in Budapest on May 30.
