The All Progressives Congress will open its nationwide mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections with a grand rally in Kaduna State on October 24, according to the party's campaign timetable.

The rallies, which will be held across 12 locations in the build-up to the presidential election scheduled for January 16, 2027, will close with a final rally in Lagos on January 9, 2027.

Party leaders see the rallies as the main platform to showcase the administration's record and shore up support across the six geopolitical zones ahead of the polls.

Coordinators have been named for the various zones as part of arrangements for the campaign, with state governors and ranking party figures expected to lead mobilisation in their respective regions.

Conspicuously missing from the schedule is Anambra State, despite Governor Chukwuma Soludo having been named as a coordinator for the exercise in the South-East.

The omission is already generating interest within the party, as the South-East remains one of the zones where the APC has traditionally struggled to make inroads at the polls.

The Kaduna kickoff is expected to draw senior party chieftains from across the North-West and beyond, and is being positioned as a statement of the party's readiness for the 2027 contest.

Opposition parties, on their part, have continued to intensify coalition talks and groundwork of their own, setting the stage for what promises to be a keenly contested election cycle.

Further details on the rally venues and the full schedule are expected from the party in the coming weeks.
