THE FIRE OF ELIJAH’S MANTLE BY APOSTLE MOSY MADUGBA

THE FIRE OF ELIJAH’S MANTLE
BY APOSTLE MOSY MADUGBA
TEXT: 2 KINGS 2:13-14
Walking with God demands that we arrange our lives in such a way that we can hear God for ourselves. Defining a relationship determines its outcome. Servants work for their wages, sons only inherit and own their fathers properties. Every individual must define his relationship with God, whether that of a servant and a master or a father and son.
In 1 Kings 17:1 Elijah acted God when he stated that he will lock up heaven and that there will be no rain. How deep has a man gone into God that he could come out to speak to nature. In Exodus 1, God made Moses a god, a god to pharaoh.
Fire is a product of combustion. It starts with intense heat before it manifest. It is associated with something dynamic and passionate. It is not associated with laziness or indecision. God’s fire does not destroy anything, Elijah’s mantle was constantly in God’s fire. If you put yourself in God’s fire, it will not destroy you, but will be doing its work.
In Malachi 3:2-3 it is called the refiners fire. In Daniel 7:9 – 10 even our God dwells in the presence of flames of fire.
GOD AND FIRE
1. His throne is made of fire - Daniel 7:9-10
2. He collects sacrifice by fire -
3. God introduces himself by fire - Exodus 19:16
4. He visits by fire -
5. He travels by fire. Like He did when He pick Elijah in 2 kings 2:11
6. He also decided to baptize us with the same fire. Baptism means tie and die, it was intended for us to be buried and resurrect with a new personality. Matthew 3:11, John 3:6
God baptizes us into His nature (Psalm 104:4)
Elisha, when he carried the fire raised fire carrying men. He anointed Jehu and escaped by Gods instruction.

If there’s anything you need as a minister, it is the fire of God. If there is anything you need as a person, it is the fire of God.
