Deac. Engr. Godwin Akeke

There are numerous benefits of the cross, no man can exhaust it, and they are endless. The benefits, advantages, profits and kindness of the cross of Calvary is something God planned.
Topic: BENEFITS OF THE CROSS
Text: Gen. 3:16, Matthew 26:15,
Zechariah 11:12 - 13
The enemy thought they were doing the lord a bad thing when they betrayed him, so many are still asking such questions today. How much will you pay me to falsify marks for you, how much will you pay me to do one wrong thing or the other, you are still betraying Jesus Christ. But, when Jesus died Judas lost his life.
Never go the way of Judas because there is no glory in it. In Israel, there still exist stones and significance of the fact that Jesus was betrayed and crucified. The cross is not an imagination or an illusion, it’s not fiction. The cross is a reality, it happened already.
The master walked up the cross with joy because he saw the glory ahead of him.

Benefits of the Cross
1. The gift of salvation. Without the cross there is no Christianity, our gathering in churches will not be without the cross. We all know where God picked us from. It is a mystery of the cross. If you haven’t embraced him today, Jesus is readily waiting to receive you. – John 1:12. The lord was rejected and Barabbas accepted by the Jews, but he went to the cross. There, the criminal on the cross condemned by men yet salvation was made available for him.
2. The Lord took your place: the Lord delivered you, he became a curse that you might be free. By the power of the cross, curses upon your life are broken in Jesus name. Romans 5:8, Christ died for us all even while we were in sin. When he died darkness covered the earth for three hours, it disappeared when he was brought down from the cross. This signifies that you are no more in darkness. Also a crown of thorns was put on his head, why? When man fails in the garden God cursed man and thorns began to grow on the earth. Jesus went to the cross and wore the crown of thorns, he took away the thorns meant to torment man and wore it so that we can live without thorns in life.
3. He clothed man on the cross: he was naked that we might be clothed.
4. At the cross he tore the heavens open.
5. He went to where man was locked up (hades) and took back the key of life. He opens doors which no man open, therefore every closed door is opened
6. He said it is finished: this means that everything negative against man, sickness, or whatever was paid for in the cross.

MAY YOU ENJOY THE BENEFIT OF THE CROSS IN JESUS NAME… AMEN!
