Democracy Day 2021: Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo Urges Citizens Participation In Democratic Process

Today, we celebrate the re-birth of our nation’s democracy and reflect how Nigeria ushered in a new era of government chosen by the people, after countless years of military dictatorships.

As an elected member of House of Representatives representing Bekwara/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency, i wish to felicitate with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, the Digital Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Sir, Ben Ayade, Members of Parliament, Members of the State House of Assembly and good people of Cross River State.

It is my resolve to continue to make laws that will have direct bearing on their life. We must also bear in mind that our organised strength lies in the common experiences we share with our fellow Nigerians.

I urge all Cross Riverians to use this day to reflect on our journey so far and also rise up to the challenge of contributing to sustenance of democracy in the state and country at large.

Let us continue to uphold the bond of citizenship that has kept us together as one indivisible people.

In this regard, as we reflect, and celebrate yet another Democracy Day, I urge us all to march into the future knowing that in the spirit of togetherness, we can achieve more for our common prosperity.

I assure you that APC government at all levels is working hard to overcome the current economic challenge and shortcomings of Democratic rule.k

Long live Cross River State!

Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria !!
