Easter 2022: APC National Woman Leader Calls For Reflection And Prayers To End Insecurity

National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and immediate past C'River State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betta Edu has urged Christians to use the Easter period for sober reflection on the virtues of love, selflessness, and perseverance as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

The Woman Leader who made this known in her Abuja office through her media aide mentioned that Christians should take advantage of this time and pray for God’s intervention amid the various security challenges plaguing the nation.

“There is no doubt that these are difficult times in our country. Insecurity in almost all parts of the country.

“However, rather than succumbing to the wishes of evildoers and feeling threatened by these uncertain times, we need to realize that these are trials, and should strengthen our resolve to collectively face our challenges.

“This moment calls for sober reflection and not fanfare, therefore, I urge Christians to remain steadfast and fervent in prayer, that God will bring peace to our earth so that the problems of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and all forms of insecurity come to an end”. She said.

Edu wished the Christian faithful a successful and smooth celebration while urging them to be concerned about safety especially as the 2023 general elections approach.

Indeed, the Easter festivities remind us to be selfless as Jesus Christ was during his time on earth. As we gather with family and friends, let us also spare a thought, prayers, and show love to the needy in our respective communities.

"As the country gradually slides out of economic recession, the APC assures Nigerians of government’s determination to restore the economy on the path of growth".

"With the prayers, cooperation, and support of Nigerians, the vision of a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria is achievable".

Nevertheless, the Woman Leader calls on Nigerians to continue to support the President Muhammadu Buhari APC-led administration even as he promises to finish strong.
