Nigeria Decides: Voters Stranded As BVAS Fails In Some Wards In Calabar South LGA Of Cross River State

A crowd of voters across council wards in the Calabar South local government area of Cross River State are stranded following the non-responsiveness of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS.

Voters in ward 10, unit 3 (Lutheran School), ward 3, Unit 3 (Hawkins) and palm street by Atu street (Ward 9) in the Calabar south local government who came out in their numbers expressed their pains and dissatisfaction at the process.

Recall that the electoral umpire had stated that voting would commence throughout the federation today by 8:30 am.

When our correspondent visited the 3 polling units in Calabar South LGA, there was no election even at 12 noon.

Every effort to ensure voting took place at the moment proved abortive. Meanwhile, voters have remained at the polling unit insisting that they must cast their vote.
