CRS Govt Calls For More Investments, Assures Business Friendly Environment

The Cross River State Government has called for increased investment and establishment of businesses, promising a friendly environment with minimal taxes and levies for students entrepreneurs and young business owners alike. 


The Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Affairs, Comrade Enyam Joseph-Kelvin, made this call  at the recent graduation of the Canaan Business School Jet Cohort graduation ceremony in Calabar on June 2, 2024. He also revealed that the Government has secured opportunities for small businesses and has simplified the process of establishing businesses making it easy for anyone as well as student entrepreneurs to own and operate businesses in any part of Cross River State. 


Enyam said 'You do not have to go through the tedious processes anymore or  encounter those incumbrances before setting up your business. The Government has made a review of the policies, taxing and all, of course you can do businesses now in Cross River with ease. So be free to open up your businesses in the State'.



He added 'there are a lot of opportunities opening up. Government has secured several opportunities for Cross Riverians'.


Hon. Enyam also extended his Congratulations to the graduates on their determination to succeed in the business sector and encouraged them to put their newfound knowledge into practice.


In his remarks, The Chancellor of the Canaan Business School, Mr. John Collins Idim, thanked the Government of Cross River State, members of the faculty, and friends of the school for their support and dedication, which has fostered a community of learners in the business space. Furthermore, Mr John Collins Idim said the Business School was founded with a sole purpose of inspiring young leaders of thought in all sectors particularly in the business space, and assured the Government that the high standard will be maintained while  congratulating the students for their willingness to learn and for being of good conduct throughout the session.


The graduating students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to God and Canaan Business School for the impactful session which has opened them up to greater possibilities and opportunities in their fields of endeavours.
