| Mukoro Mitchelle, aka King Mitchy |
Prime Care Hospital in Abuja has publicly refuted widespread online claims that social media personality and content creator Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, died at its facility.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the private medical centre described the circulating reports as false and misleading, saying the influencer was never admitted, treated or registered as a patient at the hospital. The management emphasised that there are no medical records linking King Mitchy to its services and urged the public to disregard the rumours.
The clarification comes amid intense speculation on social media following a heated online dispute involving King Mitchy and social commentator VeryDarkMan. Some posts had suggested that King Mitchy had consumed a harmful substance and subsequently died during treatment in Abuja, triggering widespread reactions and confusion online.
Prime Care Hospital said the narrative has been spread without verification and warned that such misinformation could cause panic and harm innocent parties. In its statement, the management called on bloggers, influencers and members of the public to confirm sensitive information from reliable sources before sharing.
Officials also indicated they are working with relevant authorities to trace the origin of the unfounded claims. Some reports suggested the hospital may pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading the false account.
At the time of reporting, there has been no independent confirmation of King Mitchy’s medical condition from any official source.
