ICE Arrests Nigerian Man with Child Molestation Record in US

United States immigration authorities have arrested a 53-year-old Nigerian national in Los Angeles over a criminal history involving child molestation and other sexual offences.

The arrest was carried out by officers of the Enforcement and Removal Operations unit of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on April 21, 2026, according to an official statement released by the agency.

The suspect, identified as Olatunde Abiodun Olusanjo, was taken into custody following previous encounters with law enforcement linked to sexual offences.

ICE disclosed that Olusanjo’s criminal record includes child molestation, sexual battery, and the solicitation of lewd conduct.

In a statement accompanying a video of the arrest, the agency described him as a “criminal illegal alien and convicted sex offender,” noting that he is currently being held pending removal proceedings.

The video released by authorities showed the suspect in handcuffs being escorted from an ICE vehicle into custody.

Officials stated that the arrest forms part of ongoing enforcement efforts targeting individuals with criminal histories, particularly those accused or convicted of serious offences.

Olusanjo remains in ICE custody as authorities continue with immigration procedures that could lead to his deportation from the United States
