A former military administrator of Rivers State, Brig. Gen. Anthony Ugbo is dead.
The former military general reportedly died at his hospital, Asi Ugbo diagnostic and medical centre in Calabar. At the time of this report, the cause of his death was not made known, but according to reliable sources, it may not be unconnected with covid-19.
The Yala born former general was the military administrator of Rivers State between August 1986 and July 1988.
After he retired from the military, Gen. Ugbo ventured into the hospitality industry, setting up hotels in Calabar, Port Harcourt and other cities. In 2013 he set up Asi Ugbo diagnostic and medical centre in Calabar. A comprehensive health care facility that provides first-class health care services to Cross Riverian.
He will be missed by his family, friend and loved ones. He will also be missed by the Cross Riverians who have benefited from his venture into the hospitality industry.
