The people of Cross River State Northern Senatorial District got a full dose of the benevolent streak of a Frontline gubernatorial aspirant, Distinguished Sen. Gershom Bassey. The happiness and satisfaction on the faces of the beneficiaries was a pure testament to the goodwill and deep love the Distinguished Senator has for the people. In furtherance of his serial empowerment scheme, the good Senator donated Mini Buses to all the PDP Chapter Chairmen in the Northern Senatorial District to ease their day to day running of the party.
The Chapter Chairman of Ogoja LGA, Comr. Odidi Emmanuel who was overwhelmed by this kind gesture profusely thanked the Senator for his immense and impactful empowerment schemes which he has extended to the people of Cross River Northern Senatorial District.
Comr. Odidi Emmanuel in his remarks described Senator Gershom Bassey as a household name in PDP and Cross River State in general. He extolled the sterling qualities of Sen. Bassey as an astute leader who has used the people's mandate copiously for the benefit of his Constituents and indeed Cross River State.
According to the Chairman, the senator is one of the best leaders Cross River State and Southern Senatorial District has ever had and he profoundly appreciated the Senator for extending his benevolence beyond his senatorial district even up to the Northern Senatorial District.
The Chairman assured the Distinguished Senator that the Northern Senatorial District is with him and for him. He pledged the North's unflinching and unwavering support for Sen Bassey. The Chairman also prayed for long life and strength for the Senator to continue to bring the dividends of democracy to Cross Rivererians.
Presenting the Buses to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Distinguished Senator, Akparawa Joe Ben aka Solution, a PDP Chieftain said, “This is one way Distinguished Senator Gershom Bassey encourages party leaders to remain committed, focused and steadfast in piloting the affairs of PDP“. He encouraged the beneficiaries to take a cue from this noble gesture and use the buses for the good of party faithful in their various chapters. According to him, the buses could be a huge source of revenue for the party at the chapter level. Distinguished Senator Gershom Bassey also promised to continue to appreciate other party leaders across the length and breadth of Cross River State.
