ENFORCEMENT OF TINTED GLASS PERMIT TO COMMENCE ON 2ND OCTOBER, 2025
The Cross River State Police Command wishes to notify residents of the State that online registration and application for the Tinted Glass Permit is currently ongoing, while nationwide enforcement of the directive will officially commence on 2nd October, 2025. Vehicle owners and users are strongly advised to complete the registration process before the enforcement date to avoid embarrassment or sanctions.
Applicants are expected to log on to www.possap.gov.ng and sign up using their NIN, BVN, or TIN to complete the online registration. After the registration, they are to proceed to the State Intelligence Department (SID), State Command Headquarters, Diamond Hill, Calabar for biometric capturing (fingerprint). The Command wishes to emphasize that the biometric capturing exercise is absolutely free of charge, and at no time should applicants pay any individual for the service.
The Cross River State Police Command encourages members of the public to comply with this directive and resist any attempt by unauthorized individuals or agents to extort them. The Command reiterates its commitment to ensuring transparency in the process while promoting public safety and order. Compliance with this directive will foster a safer environment for all road users in the State.
