The Nigeria Police Force has clarified that it is yet to receive any official court order directing the reinstatement of tinted glass permits for vehicle owners across the country.

Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made this known while responding to public inquiries surrounding the status of tinted glass permits. He explained that although discussions have been ongoing, the police have not been served any formal judgment or directive from the Federal High Court regarding the matter.

Adejobi urged Nigerians to remain patient and avoid spreading misinformation, noting that the Force will act accordingly once a valid court order is received. He emphasised that the police remain committed to transparency and due process in handling the issue.

The use of tinted glass permits has been a subject of public concern since the suspension of issuance by the police in 2021, citing security reasons. Many vehicle owners have since called for clarity and a possible reversal of the policy.

Adejobi assured the public that updates will be provided as soon as there is an official development.
