In Between Their Legs

In the spirit of solidarity, Barr. Attah Ochinke thanked the good people of Ogoja LGA for waiting patiently upon the arrival of Gershom and his entourage. He pointed out that, the very idea of Cross River State was predicated upon equal ratio and fair distribution of political power and better development amongst the people. The Calabar/Ogoja accord guarantee that each entity has an equal opportunity to governance. Therefore, we can not at this time preach "might is right" and neglect the angle of equity, natural justice, and a good conscience which is the principle of fairness and love.

Hon. Emmanuel Odidi, the PDP chapter Chairman of Ogoja LGA welcomed the Distinguished Senator for visiting the people. He expressed his gratitude to Gershom for the gifts he gave to the PDP Chapter Chairmen and his continuous magnanimity towards the Party. The Chairman said, the elders have given their blessings to Gershom and he cannot withhold his own but will support in totality the decision of the great elders of Ogoja LGA. The Chapter Chairman expressed confidence that Gershom will liberate the State from underdevelopment, insecurity and restore the lost glory of the State.

Former Secretary of the Council, Hon. Chris Abang assured the Senator of the support of men, women, and youths when the need arises.

Distinguished Senator Gershom Bassey in response to the leaders and people of Ogoja and northern Senatorial District reassured them of good governance, security, and quality educational system in the State. He said we must talk about the future. Right now, we have a problem in this state because things are not working the way they should be. He stressed that insecurity, poor infrastructural development, per capita income is very bad, unemployment and disunity have set the State backwards. He charged the people to come out and vote massively for PDP and stop blaming people for the past. The time to correct and right the wrong is now!
